he museology sector of the Villa-Lobos Museum is part of the technical area whose principal mission is to support the institution in curatorial management of the collections. It is also charged with contributing to policies on accessioning and de-accessioning, conservation, restoration, security, documentation and storage and packing of the collections, contributing to accessibility of the collections and publicizing the institution’s resources, the safekeeping of which is undertaken in the name of the society which produced them. To that end, this sector executes procedures related to each of the abovementioned steps, as well as doing research and seeking out support from kindred institutions. It likewise makes itself available for exchanging experiences and information.
