esearch requests are handled though the library (scores, books, theses, monographs, periodicals, concert programs, photographs, newspaper clippings, correspondence and other documents) and the Sound Archives.
Reproductions of the originals are available for on site consultation and requests for reproduction of these and other materials for research purposes can be handled on site or through e-mail.

Reproductions:
The reproduction of some materials is allowed, strictly for research purposes, and a charge is made to cover the costs. The delivery schedule of reproductions depends the volume solicited and on the availability of the Museum’s reproduction services.
According to the brazillian copyright laws (article 29, Federal Law 9.610/98), no material may be used for commercial purposes or for release to the public without prior express consent from the detainees of intellectual property rights. For Vila-Lobos, authorization is handled by the legal representatives of the Brazilian Academy of Music, legal heir of the composer.
